Another failure I have encountered is the stator and flywheel, this problem is by no means exclusive to Vertemati, I once had the pleasure of owning a Husqvana 610TE that detonated the flywheel leaving me stranded and in need of the AA.

The stator assembly is an SEM unit and is the same as those used by Husqvarna, Husaberg and KTM. The image to the left links to the parts page for the KTM LC4 engine circa 1994 and contains the relevant part numbers. An alternative to the KTM part can be found on the Elecrtex website, this stator is a modified unit giving a greater output thus eliminating some of the starting problems.
